This is education, not advice
The information here is written for the general reader and does not replace a personal medical consultation. It cannot tell you whether either option is appropriate for your skin, your health or your circumstances.
No outcome is guaranteed
No treatment can be guaranteed. Both options are absorbed over months and need repeating; the change a booster produces accumulates over a course rather than appearing after one session; and a result is judged after the swelling has settled rather than on the day.
Neither option treats a skin disease
Dryness, a damaged barrier, eczema, rosacea and acne are diagnosed and managed as skin problems. An injectable placed over an untreated skin condition does not resolve it, and a plan that begins with an injection rather than with an assessment may be treating the appearance of a problem it has not identified.
Injectable treatment carries a rare serious risk
Material entering a blood vessel can compromise the blood supply to an area of skin and, rarely, to the eye. It is uncommon, it is more associated with deeper placement, and it is the reason injectable treatment belongs to a trained clinician.
